ABout ME

Whether through learning how to implement health programs or helping an organization find a new leader, my goal has always been to help people. I believe design is powerful and that good design positively impacts real people.

User Experience design excites me because it is a field that combines my creativity and love for working with people! I enjoy the challenge of collaboratively solving problems to create and improve products that people not only enjoy using but that can have an impact on their daily lives.

Listening and asking the right questions is something that helped me excel in my role as a recruiter and gives me an advantage in my career change to UX design (especially in user research). I hold myself to a high standard of design ethics while working to meet business needs through a user centered approach.

In my spare time I am inspired by traveling, trying new recipes, music and being outdoors (camping, hiking, etc. and I love any time spent near the ocean).

I am working at IBM 💙as a UX Designer in the Digital Business Automation space. I love to meet new people and chat about design! Feel free to contact me, I’d love to chat.

REcommendations

“Lauren is a quick learner and was always ready to jump in and figure out any challenge set before her. She is kind and empathetic (something you always look for in a UX practitioner), but was not afraid to push back or ask "why are we doing it this way." Lauren would be a great addition to a team needing someone to understand what you are trying to accomplish, research what will work, and then balance user needs with your business goals.”

-William, Internship Supervisor

“Lauren's background as a recruiter provided her with a foundation on which to build her UX design skills. Her natural aptitude for user research and drive to master all UX design methodologies have been impressive. Lauren has been a pleasure to work with and will be a valuable asset to any team!”
